I just want to run basic internet in my company and also the ping and traceroute should work for checking purpose ,how to configure it ? -
How to configure basic internet in WiJungle with the only ping and traceroute
To configure the basic internet follow steps as below :
For a basic internet to work you at least need this ports
PORTS
TCP 80,443 for HTTP and HTTPS respectively
UDP 53 for DNS
UDP 67,68 for DHCP
UDP 443 for QUIC1)Go to content filtering section
2)Click on Port filtering
3)Click on ADD PORT EXCEPTION
4)Give a relevant name and description (optional)
5)In RULE select
Inbound (All Traffic)
Outbound6)Now select the Protocol and Ports mention above and click on ADD
(Repeat the steps until all the above mention ports are added)Now the exceptions are added but Still the ping and traceroute won’t work
We also have to add ping and traceroute to the exception. To do so follow
the steps below7)Go to NETWORK section and click on More Utility
8)Click on HOST
9)Click on PORT HOST
10)Click on ADD PORT HOST
11)Provide the relevant name
12)Select the Protocol (ICMP)
13)Select the ICMP (Type 8 – Echo ) for ping
14)Select the Code (Code – any) and Click on Save
Follow the Steps 10 to 14 again with the value ( type 0 -Echo reply
type 30 – tracert ) in ICMP15)Click on ADD PORT HOST GROUP
16)Provide the relevant name and description (optional)
17)In Select Host (select the Host created above ) and click on SAVE
Now that is Host group is ready, add this Host group in the exception
port as the steps are mention above. Just select the port Host group
and Select the group created aboveNow we have to make Port Policy
19) Click on ADD PORT POLICY
20) Provide the name and time (select the starting and time to 00:00 to
start as soon as the policy is applied )
21)Select the block all and all the Exception (created earlier)22)Click on apply
Now the port policy is ready we need to make Filtering policy
23)Click on the Filtering Policy
24)Provide the relevant name
25)Select the policy you just created in port policy and click on CREATE
Now the Filtering Policy is ready, Apply it on the group
